So here's the full list, before you install rather than after. If any line here is a problem for you, don't install it - that's a reasonable decision.
Runs only on application pages. It activates on the platforms it targets and does nothing on every other site you visit.
Reads your profile, writes to the form. It never reads the page's other content, your email, or anything you've already typed elsewhere.
No submissions on your behalf. Ever. The extension has no code path that clicks submit.
Which jobs you applied to stays yours. It isn't sold, and it isn't shared with the employers or anyone else.
Uninstalling removes the stored profile. One click, and the extension's local copy of your data goes with it.

Does it apply to jobs automatically?
No, and it never will. Mass auto-applying is why so many roles now get hundreds of unread applications. Autofill removes the typing, not the judgement - you read the form and submit it yourself.
How much does Job Autofill cost?
Nothing to install. It is free from the Chrome Web Store and it fills forms from the profile on your Job Security Meter account. If it ever gets a price, it will be a one-off like the roadmap - not a subscription.
Which job sites does it support?
It covers the biggest applicant tracking systems - Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby - with a generic matcher that handles standard fields on most other application forms. Workday builds vary per employer, so it fills the fields that stay consistent and leaves the rest to you.
How much time does Job Autofill actually save?
A typical application form takes around twelve minutes to fill by hand. Job Autofill reduces that to a review and a click, which is roughly ten hours back across the fifty applications it usually takes to land an offer.
Where is my information stored?
Your profile is stored against your Job Security Meter account and a local copy sits in the extension so it can fill forms without a round trip. Uninstalling the extension removes that local copy. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with employers.
Chrome says the extension is “not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing”. Should I worry?
That notice is about our age on the Chrome Web Store, not about anything found in the extension. Enhanced Safe Browsing only trusts extensions from developers with a few months of clean history in the store, and Job Autofill is newer than that, so everyone on Enhanced Safe Browsing sees it. It is a different, much louder warning when Chrome has actually found something wrong. If you would rather not take our word for it, the permissions section on this page is the full set the extension asks for, and Chrome shows you the same list before it installs anything.
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome and the other Chromium browsers - Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera all install from the same Chrome Web Store listing. Firefox and Safari are not supported yet.
Do I have to fill in the profile before installing?
No, and the order does not matter. Install it, connect your account, and fill the profile whenever you like - the extension picks up whatever is saved at the moment you open a form, so a half-filled profile still fills half the form.
