Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 13, 2026

1. About These Terms

These terms cover your use of Job Security Meter (“the Service”, “we”, “us”): the website, the dashboard, the Resume Maximiser and the Job Autofill browser extension. By using the Service you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, and our Refund Policy is part of these terms.

2. Using the Service

  • You must be at least 16 to use the Service.
  • An account is for one person. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Your results are about you. Re-evaluations are for the person whose resume was first analysed. We compare the name on each resume and may block a generation for a different person.
  • Upload only documents you have the right to use - your own resume, or one you have permission to analyse.

3. What the Service Is - and Isn't

The Service gives you a free job security score, a fuller free read with a free account, and paid tools bought with credits: a Premium Roadmap (a 6-month career plan) and the Resume Maximiser rewrite.

Scores, plans and rewrites are produced by AI models. They are informed estimates, not facts or guarantees - about your job, your employer or the market. Because AI models are not perfectly consistent, the same resume can score a few points differently on another run; that is normal, not a fault.

The Service is for information and planning. It is not legal, financial or professional career advice, and you remain responsible for your own decisions.

Benchmarks: scores are compared with other people's results using anonymous data only - scores, job titles and risk levels - never anyone's name or resume.

4. Credits and Payments

Paid tools are bought with credits. Credits come in packs. Our regular prices, in US dollars, are:

  • Starter: 1 credit for $20
  • Growth: 3 credits for $50
  • Pro: 6 credits for $90

Price changes and discounts: we may offer discounts, launch prices or other promotions, and start or end them at any time. We may also change the price of credits - for example when we improve the Service, or to meet the cost of running it. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout before you pay. A price change never affects credits you have already bought.

What a credit buys: a Premium Roadmap costs 1 credit and a Resume Maximiser rewrite costs 1 credit. The cost is shown before you confirm.

Paying: checkout is run by Dodo Payments, which is the merchant of record. It takes your payment, adds any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issues your invoice, and the charge may appear on your statement under its name. Dodo Payments' own terms also apply to the payment. Credits are one-time purchases, not a subscription.

When credits arrive: once Dodo Payments confirms the payment. If your bank is still processing it, your credits are added automatically when it clears. A failed or cancelled payment adds no credits and you are not charged.

When a credit is used: for a roadmap, when the first part of your roadmap has been written - if it fails before then, no credit is used. For a rewrite, when you unlock it - if unlocking fails, the credit is returned automatically, and if the rewrite itself then fails you can run it again without using another credit.

Your credits: they never expire, are tied to your account, cannot be transferred, and have no cash value.

Feedback credits: after a purchase we may invite you to a short survey. Answering it earns 2 free credits, added once we have read your answers, once per purchase. We may also give credits for other help, such as user research, at our discretion. Free credits work like bought ones but have no cash value.

5. Refunds

Each roadmap and rewrite is generated for you with paid AI processing the moment you use a credit, so all sales are final, as set out in our Refund Policy.

If something is genuinely broken - a generation fails, comes back empty or unusable, or never arrives because of a fault on our side - email support@jobsecuritymeter.com and we will run it again or return the credit, at no cost to you.

Nothing in these terms takes away any refund right you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

6. Free Limits and Fair Use

Every free tool runs on paid AI models, so free use is limited:

  • Job security analysis: 1 every 48 hours without an account; 5 every 24 hours when signed in.
  • Resume Maximiser free scan: 2 every 24 hours without an account; 5 every 24 hours when signed in.

Without an account, use is counted per network address; signed in, per account. Anyone who has bought credits is not held to these limits. We may change the limits, and we may restrict or suspend access where we see scraping, automated use, attempts to get around the limits, or other abuse.

7. Resume Maximiser

The Resume Maximiser covers all resume scanning and rewriting on the Service. It replaced the tool once called “ATS Tailor”, and these terms apply to both.

The free scan gives an estimated hiring-filter score, a breakdown and a shortlist of issues. It is an AI estimate for guidance only - it is not produced by, endorsed by or predictive of any employer or applicant tracking system (ATS).

The rewrite costs 1 credit. It reads your resume, the job description you add and your answers to its questions, and returns a rewritten resume as a PDF. It does not include ongoing edits or human review.

What we do not guarantee: an interview, a job offer, a higher score, compatibility with any particular ATS, or that every section, date or detail is read and reproduced perfectly. Content may occasionally be grouped wrongly, reworded in a way you disagree with, or left out.

Check it before you send it: read the rewritten resume in full and verify every fact - employers, titles, dates, numbers and tools - before sending it to anyone. You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of any resume you send to an employer.

Dissatisfaction with the wording, layout or score of a rewrite is not a reason for a refund; a genuine fault is covered by section 5. What we store for the Resume Maximiser is set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Job Autofill Browser Extension

Job Autofill is our optional browser extension. It fills job application forms using the profile you save to your account. Installing it is a separate decision from using the website, and these Terms apply to it in addition to the terms of the browser extension store you installed it from.

You are responsible for what you submit. The extension never submits an application for you — it only puts values into fields, and every fill happens because you pressed a button. You must read the completed form before submitting it. Application forms vary enormously, field labels are frequently ambiguous, and a value can land in a field you did not intend. Where the extension is not confident about a field it deliberately leaves it blank rather than guessing, but you remain solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and truthfulness of every application you send to an employer.

No affiliation with job platforms. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workday, Keka, Darwinbox, Zoho Recruit, Workable, BambooHR, iCIMS, Taleo, SuccessFactors, and every other applicant tracking system or job site named in our listings and documentation are trademarks of their respective owners. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partnered with any of them. We name them only to describe where the extension is known to work.

No guarantee that it works on a given form. Job sites change their forms without notice, and a form that filled correctly last week may not this week. We do not guarantee that any particular field, form, or site is supported, that filling will succeed, or that support will continue. Workday in particular is only partially supported. The extension is provided as-is, and we are not liable for a missed deadline, an incomplete application, or a lost opportunity arising from its use.

Site access is yours to give and to take back. The extension runs automatically only on a fixed list of known job sites. Anywhere else it runs on a page only when you ask it to, and any standing permission you grant can be revoked at any time from your browser's extensions settings.

Acceptable use. Do not use the extension to submit information you know to be false, to impersonate another person, or to submit applications in bulk in a way that burdens an employer's systems. We may suspend access to the profile API where we detect such use, and doing so does not entitle you to a refund of any other purchase.

Free to use. The extension is provided free of charge. We may change, limit, or discontinue it, or any part of it, at any time. What it stores and what it never collects is set out in section 12 of our Privacy Policy.

9. Accuracy of Information

Salary ranges, automation risk figures and market trends on the Service are gathered by automated research and third-party sources. We work to keep them right, but we cannot guarantee that every figure is accurate, current or complete. If you spot an error, email support@jobsecuritymeter.com and we will check and correct it.

10. Advertising and Featured Content

The Service may show advertisements, featured projects or partner links. We decide what is featured, and featuring something is not an endorsement. We never show personalised ads: what is shown does not depend on your resume, your results or your browsing, and we never use your data to target ads.

11. Emails

With an account you receive sign-in codes and purchase receipts, which you need to use the Service. You may also receive optional emails - the Intelligence Feed digest, product updates, offers, and reminders about unused credits or feedback - each of which you can turn off with the one-click unsubscribe link in the email or under Account → Settings → Email. The full list is in our Privacy Policy. We never sell or rent your email address.

12. Acceptable Use

Do not:

  • scrape the Service, or use bots or scripts to run it at scale;
  • try to get around free limits, credit costs or security;
  • copy, reverse-engineer or resell the Service, or present its output as a product of your own;
  • upload anything unlawful, harmful or designed to damage our systems.

13. Your Content and Ours

Your resume, your answers and the results we produce for you are yours to use as you like. You let us process them only to provide the Service, as our Privacy Policy describes. The Service itself - its software, design, text and brand - belongs to us.

14. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on providers such as OpenAI, Supabase, Vercel, Dodo Payments, Resend, Heyo, Sentry and Google, listed with what each does in our Privacy Policy. Where you use one of them directly - paying through Dodo Payments, or signing in with Google - its own terms apply to that part too.

15. Limits on Our Liability

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses - including lost income, a missed opportunity or a career decision - arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Suspension and Ending

You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to delete your account as our Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

17. Changes to These Terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Using the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
